Xiaomi's three Pad 9 tablets leak: top model gets 120W charging

Xiaomi is preparing to expand its tablet lineup with three new models in the Pad 9 series. According to certification filings and recent leaks, the devices may debut in September alongside the Xiaomi 18 flagship smartphones.
The entry-level model, listed under the identifier M656BA, is expected to feature an 11.2-inch LCD display with 3.2K resolution and a high refresh rate. Performance will reportedly be handled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen4 chipset. The battery is said to be a substantial 9720 mAh unit, with wired charging capped at 45W. This version is positioned as an all-rounder for streaming, browsing, note-taking, and study, without aiming for flagship-level hardware.
The mid-range variant carries the code 2612CRPFFC. Its screen grows to 12.5 inches, while charging power increases to 67W. Insiders suggest the battery capacity remains the same as in the base model, but the processor is expected to be significantly more powerful — the exact chip has not been named yet.
The most intriguing detail concerns the top-tier version. It is rumored to support 120W fast charging, a notable step up for Xiaomi's tablet lineup. Other specifications of the flagship model have not been revealed so far.
Earlier reports indicated that the Pad 9 series will launch with the new HyperOS 4 software. The exact announcement dates and pricing for the devices remain undisclosed.
