Xiaomi unveils Redmi K100 Pro Max: 200MP camera, 14x zoom and 9070 mAh battery

The Redmi K100 Pro Max features a 200-megapixel main camera capable of capturing images at resolutions up to 16,384 x 12,288 pixels. The huge amount of detail enables 2x and 3x zoom through cropping directly from the sensor, a mode the company calls quality-lossless zoom.

A periscope module delivers 5x optical zoom, while the ultrawide camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor with a lens equivalent to 17mm. Redmi shared sample shots taken at focal lengths of 17, 24, 48, 120 and 240mm, the highest corresponding to 14x magnification. Only daylight photos were shown so far, leaving the camera's performance in low light or tricky conditions unclear.

The device also stands out with a 2.1-channel audio system developed with Bose, combining two full-range drivers and a dedicated woofer. A powerful vibration motor handles haptic feedback.

The K100 Pro Max sports a 6.9-inch OLED display built on the new M11 luminescent material, offering a 185Hz refresh rate, a local peak brightness of up to 4500 nits and 90% coverage of the BT.2020 color space. Power comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series chipset, paired with a dedicated AI Display Chip D2 for image processing and display enhancement.

Battery capacity reaches 9070 mAh with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone can also act as a power bank, supplying up to 27W over cable and 22.5W wirelessly in reverse.
