Almost 40% of respondents refuse to buy Galaxy S27 Ultra over the old battery

The top condition for buying Samsung's next flagship is neither a lower price nor new features, but a larger battery. A poll found that nearly 40% of more than a thousand participants would consider the Galaxy S27 Ultra only if it came with a higher-capacity cell.

Current Ultra models ship with a 5,000 mAh battery that has remained unchanged for several generations. Meanwhile, rivals are increasingly moving to silicon-carbon batteries, making the old capacity look insufficient.

Price ranked second with 13.5% of the votes. Leaks from Korea suggest the Galaxy S27 Ultra will start at $1,399, above the previous generation. The increase is blamed on a shortage of memory and storage chips, as production cannot keep up with demand from data centers running AI workloads.

New AI features interest only 1.69% of respondents. A fresh design took third place, as users are tired of the same Galaxy Ultra look that has persisted for years. Readers clearly prefer practical upgrades and a new appearance over the software gimmicks manufacturers keep pushing.
