Realme 16x with 7000 mAh battery and 144 Hz screen launches August 12

Realme has officially announced its budget smartphone 16x, with the Indian launch set for August 12. The manufacturer has already shared the key specifications, including a large battery and a high screen refresh rate.

The device is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. One of the listed configurations includes 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Cooling is handled by a vapor chamber with a 5300 mm² area, which Realme claims is the largest such system in the device's price bracket.

The display diagonal has not been disclosed yet, but the company confirmed a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. The main camera consists of two modules, with the primary sensor offering 50 MP. The 7000 mAh battery supports 45 W charging.

The Realme 16x will ship with Android 16 out of the box. The company promises two major OS updates and three years of security patches. At launch, the phone will be available in at least two colors: brown and white.
