Biostar unveils fanless mini PC with Intel N150, DDR5 and slots for AI accelerators

Biostar has introduced the EdgeComp MT-N150, a fanless industrial mini PC designed for edge computing, factory automation, security systems and monitoring. The device relies entirely on passive cooling, so it produces no noise during operation.
At the heart of the system is Intel's N150 processor with four Gracemont cores and four threads running at up to 3.6 GHz. The chip has a thermal design power of just 6 W, which is what makes the fanless design possible. In multi-threaded workloads, the N150 delivers performance comparable to AMD's Ryzen 3 7320U.
The MT-N150 comes with a single DDR5-4800 memory slot supporting up to 16 GB of RAM. Storage options include three M.2 slots in various formats and a SATA III interface, giving users flexibility for both SSDs and expansion cards.
The port layout is generous for a device of this class. There are two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and a USB-C connector with DisplayPort output and Power Delivery support up to 100 W. Networking is covered by two gigabit Ethernet ports. Video output is handled by two HDMI ports, and there are also audio jacks on board.
Users can optionally add Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 4G/5G modems. More interestingly, the M.2 slots support AI accelerator cards from DEEPX and MemryX, which can be used for tasks such as face recognition and smoke detection at the edge.
The mini PC measures 196.5 × 193 × 45 mm, which works out to a volume of roughly 1.7 liters, and weighs about 1 kg. It is rated for operation in temperatures from 0 to 50 °C. Supported operating systems include Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise and Ubuntu.
Biostar has not yet announced pricing or availability details for the EdgeComp MT-N150.
