Hamilton’s 2,112-piece Odyssey watch: bronze case and design inspired by Nolan’s film

Hamilton has unveiled a limited-edition Khaki Field Auto watch tied to Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey." The run is capped at 2,112 pieces, and each unit carries the director's signature, making the release a collector's item from the moment it was announced.

This marks the fourth collaboration between Hamilton and Nolan, following "Interstellar," "Tenet," and "Oppenheimer." Unlike earlier projects, where characters wore the brand's watches on screen, "The Odyssey" does not feature the accessory on any character's wrist. Instead, the watch's design draws on the hero's attributes — a helmet and a sword — which shaped the dial and the case back.

The 42 mm case is made of bronze with a circular polish. The material choice is deliberate: bronze evokes weapons and armor of the Bronze Age, linking modern watchmaking with ancient craftsmanship. The black matte dial carries a bronze pattern that mirrors the texture of Odysseus's helmet, while the 12 o'clock marker is styled after a rivet from the sword's scabbard. The hands are shaped like blades, their bronze tone echoing the weapon Matt Damon used during filming.

The watch comes with a brown grained leather strap. The manufacturer positions the model as part of its cinematic legacy and calls the project the most ambitious in its history with Nolan. "The Odyssey," based on Homer's epic poem, is considered one of the year's most anticipated releases, and the watch launch is timed to that event.
