Xiaomi’s Redmi K100 Pro Max sales jump 135% over predecessor — and the reason is clear

Xiaomi's Redmi K100 Pro series, launched on August 11, has seen explosive demand in its first week on the market. According to @RDObservation, the company sold roughly 95% of the initial shipment volume for both the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max within just seven days.
The base Redmi K100 Pro outperformed its predecessor, the Redmi K90, by about 70% in comparable sales during the same period. The flagship Redmi K100 Pro Max went even further, with sales 135% higher than those of the Redmi K90 Pro Max. Earlier, Xiaomi CEO Lu Weibing noted that on the very first day of sales, the K100 Pro Max had already surpassed the launch-day performance of the previous model by 150%.
Both devices are powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon processors. The Redmi K100 Pro packs a 8580 mAh battery, while the K100 Pro Max features a larger 9070 mAh cell. Audio is handled by a system tuned by Bose, which has been a key selling point for the lineup.
The strong reception suggests that Xiaomi has found a winning combination of hardware upgrades, battery capacity, and brand partnerships that resonate with buyers. The near-complete sell-through of the initial stock in the first week also points to tight supply, which could drive further urgency among potential customers.
