Lenovo's $740 E-Ink tablet thinkplus A510 arrives with 4G and eight microphones

Lenovo has launched a new E-Ink tablet, the thinkplus A510, which runs on Android 14. The device features a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 display with a resolution of 2,480 × 1,860 pixels for black-and-white content and 1,240 × 930 pixels for color. Pixel density reaches 300 dpi in monochrome mode and 150 dpi in color. Similar color E-Ink panels are found in the Bigme B6, though that model is positioned more as an e-reader.

The tablet supports handwriting input via a stylus sensitive to 4,096 pressure levels. The proprietary thinkplus pen attaches magnetically to the chassis and charges while connected. An adjustable front light with warm and cool tones is included for reading in various lighting conditions. Split-screen mode enables simultaneous use of two apps.

Inside sits an octa-core MediaTek MT6877T processor clocked up to 2.6 GHz. Buyers can pick between 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, while built-in storage is set at 256 GB. If more space is needed, a TF card adds up to 2 TB extra — enough for a large library of books and documents.

A 5 MP front camera handles video calls, while the main camera with autofocus offers 20 MP. According to Lenovo, the rear module is also suitable for scanning papers and handwritten notes. The device supports 4G via a SIM card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C for wired accessories, including headphones.

A key feature is the eight-microphone array that provides 360-degree voice pickup and AI-based noise cancellation during meetings. The 6,900 mAh battery supports 15 W charging. The manufacturer claims up to 14 hours of reading time and up to 168 hours of standby on a single charge.

The tablet plays common file formats: PDF, EPUB, TXT, MOBI, AZW3, JPEG, PNG, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, and PPT/PPTX. In China, the thinkplus A510 is listed at 5,499 yuan (around $815), but an introductory price drops it to 4,999 yuan (about $740). Lenovo has not commented on plans for launch in other markets.
