Ukrainian drones hit three Russian ships and 1,716 targets in a day — report

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces reported striking three Russian fleet units on August 7. According to the daily summary, three objects were hit in the "Fleet" category, along with 12 artillery systems, two tanks, and 74 vehicles and special equipment. In total, units of the group destroyed or struck 1,716 enemy targets over the day.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, callsign "Madyar," said that as part of Operation "MoLoChKa," 12 vessels from the remnants of the shadow fleet were engaged by the Forces' "Birds" in the Black and Azov Seas between August 1 and 8. Over the entire operation, from July 6 to August 8, 218 watercraft were successfully engaged: 134 in the Azov Sea and 84 in the Black Sea.

Brovdi also released footage of the strikes, noting that three guided missiles from a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system were fired at a drone, yet the shadow fleet vessel near Gelendzhik was still hit. OSINT analyst Dnipro Osint reported that in the evening, Defense Forces struck tankers near Novorossiysk, publishing a satellite image of one of the burning vessels.

The Exilenova+ channel, which tracks strikes on Russian targets, also reported on the evening of August 7 that three ships had been hit by the Unmanned Systems Forces, noting a vessel burning near Gelendzhik after the strike. Earlier reports said the Unmanned Systems Forces had hit a base of Russian unmanned surface vessels in Crimea, four tankers in the Black and Azov Seas, five air defense elements, and a Shahed drone launch site at Donetsk airport.
