CHERRY Moves Secure Terminal Production to Europe and Unveils New Platform

CHERRY has unveiled two new products for corporate security — the Smart Board 1150 and the Smart Terminal ST-1150, replacements for the KC 1000 SC and ST-1144 models. Both devices are built on a completely new proprietary electronics and firmware architecture, setting them apart from their predecessors.

The most significant change concerns manufacturing: the Smart Terminal ST-1150 is now fully assembled in Europe. According to the company, this move provides a foundation for the platform's long-term development, streamlines customer support, and enables organizations to more easily adapt to upcoming regulatory and security requirements.

The new architecture is expected to deliver stronger data protection and greater flexibility in tailoring the devices to specific customer needs.
