The Blood of Dawnwalker PC specs drop — but upscalers are now mandatory

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by veterans of CD Projekt Red, and publisher Bandai Namco have released the final system requirements for the upcoming vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. Compared to the preliminary specifications shared in April, the game's appetite for PC hardware has noticeably decreased. However, this reduction is not solely the result of additional optimization — it also comes from the developers' decision to rely heavily on upscaling technologies.

The minimum requirements are now set for 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second on low graphics settings, with the upscaler set to "Balance" mode. To run the game at this level, players will need an Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card with 6 GB of VRAM, 16 GB of system RAM, and 60 GB of free SSD space. The operating system must be Windows 10, and DirectX 12 support is required.

For medium settings at 1080p and 60 fps, the recommended configuration includes an Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, along with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, RTX 2060 Super, AMD Radeon RX 5700, or Intel Arc A750 GPU with 8 GB of VRAM. The RAM requirement remains at 16 GB.

The recommended specifications for 1440p gaming at 60 fps on high settings call for the same processor — Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X — paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card. The full list of requirements is available from the publisher.
