Supermicro's quarterly revenue hits $11.1 billion, gross margin rebounds to 17.5%

Supermicro reported record financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended June 30. Revenue reached $11.1 billion, notably higher than the $10.2 billion posted in the previous quarter and more than double the $5.8 billion recorded in the same period a year earlier. Net income came in at $1.178 billion, or $1.62 per diluted share, compared to $483 million in the prior quarter and $195 million a year ago.

The key improvement was a rebound in profitability. Gross margin for the quarter rose to 17.5%, up from 9.9% in the third quarter and 9.5% in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. On an adjusted basis, excluding one-time items, the margin stood at 17.6%, while adjusted earnings per share reached $1.70 versus $0.41 a year earlier.

Operating cash flow for the quarter totaled $747 million, with capital expenditures and investments of just $25 million. The company, which specializes in server solutions for AI, cloud computing, and data storage, continues to ramp up shipments of systems for data centers, driving the significant revenue growth.

Full-year results were also strong, though the press release does not provide all details of the annual report. The focus is on quarterly figures, which show a successful recovery from the margin challenges seen in prior periods. The company did not offer guidance for the next quarter, limiting itself to publishing actual results.
