Sony Xperia 10 VIII Leaks on Geekbench: Same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Chip as Its Predecessor

The upcoming Sony Xperia 10 VIII has appeared in the Geekbench database, revealing its core specifications ahead of the official announcement scheduled for August 25. The device, bearing the model number XQ-GH54, scored 871 points in the single-core test and 3,028 points in the multi-core test, indicating a mid-range performance level by modern standards.
According to the benchmark listing, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor (model number SM6475). This 4-nm chip, first introduced in 2024, features four cores clocked at 1.80 GHz and four more at 2.40 GHz. Notably, the same processor was already used in the previous generation, the Xperia 10 VII, which was launched in September 2025.
The tested unit came with 8 GB of RAM, though only 7.27 GB was reported as available to the system. It is expected that Sony will offer additional memory configurations at launch. The Xperia 10 VIII will run Android 16 out of the box, with an upgrade to Android 17 likely arriving after the release.
For context, the Xperia 10 VII, announced in September 2025, featured a 6.1-inch OLED display, a dual rear camera setup with 50 MP and 13 MP sensors, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a base configuration of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD.
Other details about the Xperia 10 VIII, such as its display size, camera specifications, and battery capacity, remain unknown at this time. Sony is expected to reveal all remaining information during the official launch event on August 25.
