Skullcandy launches Crusher 1080 ANC headphones with Bose tech for $279.99

Skullcandy has introduced two new wireless headphones in its Crusher lineup: the Crusher 1080 ANC and the Crusher 720. The company says both models deliver "mind-bending bass" refined over more than five generations of the series. Dedicated bass drivers generate low frequencies that are felt physically rather than merely heard.

The Crusher 720 features passive noise cancellation via its over-ear cushions, along with THX Spatial Audio and Clear Voice, which suppresses background noise during microphone calls.

The flagship Crusher 1080 ANC incorporates technologies from Bose, including SpeechClarity for improved call quality, TrueSpatial for surround sound, SoundDesign for audio tuning, and QuietControl for active noise cancellation.

Both headphones support multipoint connectivity over Bluetooth 5.3 and reproduce sound across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Through the Skullcandy app, users can personalize the audio: create custom sound profiles, adjust Crusher bass levels, use custom EQs, and enable Stay-Aware mode for ambient sound passthrough.

Battery life is rated at roughly 60 hours, though enabling ANC on the 1080 ANC reduces that to about 50 hours. Fast charging adds 4 hours of playback from a 10-minute charge.

The Crusher 1080 ANC carries an MSRP of $279.99, while the Crusher 720 is priced at $209.99. The Crusher 1080 ANC comes in Primer, Candy, True Black, and Cement, while the Crusher 720 is available in Primer, Future, Plasma, True Black, and Cement.
