Rogbid Loop V: a $70 fitness tracker with ECG and no screen

Rogbid has launched the Loop V, a fitness tracker that lacks a display but comes with electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring capabilities. Priced at $70, the device targets users who prioritize health tracking over screen interaction.

For health monitoring, the Loop V uses a PPG RA2325 optical sensor and a Bosch 270 six-axis accelerometer. The accelerometer can detect abrupt movements and interpret them as a potential fall, triggering an alert. The tracker also measures body temperature and sleep patterns, breaking down sleep into four stages and offering personalized bedtime recommendations. Additional features include menstrual cycle tracking and standard activity monitoring tools.

The device is powered by a 220 mAh battery, which delivers up to 10 days of use in normal mode, 5–7 days under heavy usage, and up to 30 days in standby. The Loop V's body is made from an aluminum alloy, with a nylon strap. It has a water resistance rating of 3 ATM, meaning it can withstand splashes and brief immersion. For data synchronization, the tracker requires a smartphone running iOS 13 or later, or Android 8.0 and above.
