Oppo unveils displays with record BT.2020 color gamut — Find X10 to be the first

Oppo has officially unveiled its next-generation display technology, which the company says delivers a comprehensive improvement across all stages of production — from individual substrate calibration to pixel-level tuning.

The key innovation lies in the use of completely redesigned RGB light-emitting materials and a deep optimization of spectral characteristics. This allowed Oppo to achieve a record color gamut coverage of the BT.2020 standard. According to the company, the resulting color reproduction is "practically indistinguishable from reality."

Earlier reports indicated that Oppo, in collaboration with partners, developed a technology that provides the industry's widest BT.2020 color gamut, as well as "the industry's highest level of useful red light and the lowest level of harmful blue light." The company claims this display maximizes color accuracy while protecting users' eyes.

Another notable feature of the new screens will be an extremely thin bezel around the display. This was made possible by a new Oppo production line, according to insiders. The Oppo Find X10 is expected to be the first device to feature this new display technology, marking a significant step forward in mobile display quality.
