Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x gets 40% discount: OLED display and 16 GB RAM for $900

Lenovo has cut the price of its Yoga Slim 7x laptop with the Snapdragon X2 Plus chip to just under $900. The 40% discount is available on the company's official online store, and the price includes a 14-inch OLED display, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB drive.

The six-core Snapdragon X2 Plus 42-100 delivers results comparable to the Apple M3 in synthetic multi-core benchmarks. Its performance is sufficient for office tasks, browser-based work, and entertainment, though users who need full x86 application compatibility should consider other options.

The 1920 x 1200 panel covers 100% of the P3 color gamut and 99% of Adobe RGB, with peak brightness reaching 367 nits. After calibration, color accuracy is rated as excellent, making the laptop suitable for photo editing and other creative work. However, the refresh rate is capped at 60 Hz, which may disappoint owners of devices with 120 Hz panels.

The integrated Adreno X2-45 graphics are comparable to a Radeon 880M in synthetic benchmarks, but architectural limitations prevent most games from running properly or even booting at all. Cooling remains quiet: the review notes that noise becomes audible only under heavy load.

The chassis is built from aluminum with 60% recycled material. Users can replace the M.2 2230 SSD, and the laptop offers three USB 4 (Type-C) ports plus a 9.2 MP front camera with an electronic shutter. The main drawback is the lack of a memory card slot and limited I/O options. Battery life, however, is rated as excellent.
