Karma Gyesera costs $35,000 less than the Revero it replaces
Karma Automotive, the California startup that emerged from the wreckage of Fisker's first bankruptcy, has officially put its new four-door extended-range grand tourer on sale. The 2027 Karma Gyesera Grand Coupe will reach dealerships in December with a starting price of $139,995 — a full $35,000 below the outgoing Revero.
The company describes the Gyesera as its next-generation hybrid EREV, built on a high-strength aluminum space frame with extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced composites across the exterior. That marks a shift from the discontinued Revero, which used composite and aluminum body panels mounted on a similar space frame chassis. Despite the changes, the design lineage of the original Fisker Karma remains visible in the Gyesera's silhouette — and that is hardly a drawback, since Henrik Fisker's first production car was widely regarded as a striking piece of automotive design.
The low-volume Gyesera Grand Coupe seats four and is powered by the latest iteration of Karma's extended-range powertrain, internally designated HRL15665. A single rear-mounted electric motor produces 566 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque, drawing energy from a 28 kWh battery pack. Under the hood sits a gasoline engine that acts purely as a generator to recharge the battery on the move. Karma claims the Gyesera can travel up to 80 miles on electric power alone, with the range extender stepping in for longer journeys.
The pricing strategy is notable: by undercutting the Revero by $35,000, Karma appears to be repositioning itself in the luxury hybrid segment, where it faces competition from established players and newer EV startups alike. The Gyesera retains the grand touring format that defined its predecessor, combining a low, sleek body with room for four occupants and a focus on long-distance comfort rather than outright performance figures. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in December, and the car will be sold through Karma's existing dealer network.
