Honor robot beats Usain Bolt's 100m record with 9.32 seconds sprint

A humanoid robot named Lightning, developed by Honor, has run the 100-meter sprint in 9.32 seconds, breaking the world record previously held by Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

The test took place during the open preparation phase of the 2nd World Robot Games. The timing system recorded a final time of 9.32 seconds, with the robot reaching a top speed of 14.5 m/s during the sprint.

The previous world record in the 100-meter dash was 9.58 seconds, set by Usain Bolt on August 16, 2009, at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin.

Honor's robot will officially compete in the 100-meter, 400-meter, and 1500-meter races at the upcoming World Robot Games.
