Geely EX5 Plus Hits 550 km Range with 68.39 kWh LFP Battery — Sales Launch in Belarus

The BelGee plant in Belarus has announced the start of sales of the Geely EX5 Plus, a new variant of the popular electric crossover featuring an upgraded battery pack. The updated model now offers a driving range of up to 550 km on the NEDC cycle.

The key upgrade is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 68.39 kWh. According to the manufacturer, the average energy consumption in the combined cycle is 16.2 kWh per 100 km. Despite the larger battery, the exterior dimensions remain unchanged: the vehicle measures 4615 mm in length, 1901 mm in width, and 1670 mm in height. However, the curb weight has increased to 1890 kg. The electric motor continues to produce 218 hp, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.

The EX5 Plus comes with a comprehensive list of equipment. It includes a panoramic roof with a sunroof, a head-up display, ventilated and massaging front seats, and a premium Flyme Sound audio system with 16 speakers, including units in the driver's headrest. Ambient interior lighting, illuminated vanity mirrors in the sun visors, and a power tailgate are also standard.

In terms of driver assistance, the crossover is equipped with adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition (TSI), and intelligent high-beam control (IHBC). Additional safety features include a multi-collision braking system (MCB), forward collision warning (FCW), collision mitigation support (CMSF), lane keeping assist (LKA and ELKA), blind spot detection (BSD), door opening warning (DOW), and rear cross-traffic assist (RCTA) with automatic emergency braking (RCW).
