Garmin fixes Virtual Run connectivity bug in Forerunner beta 29.05 for five models

Garmin has released a new beta software update, Public Beta Version 29.05, for five models in its Forerunner series: the Forerunner 165, 255, 265, 955, and 965. The firmware is now rolling out to 100% of compatible devices worldwide, available to all users enrolled in the company's beta testing program.

This version succeeds Public Beta Version 29.04, which was released earlier this month. According to the official changelog, the only fix in version 29.05 addresses a bug that could affect the watch's connection during Virtual Run workouts. No other changes were listed in the update notes.

For users who have opted into the beta program, checking for the update is straightforward: open the "Settings" menu, navigate to "System", select "Software Update", and tap "Check for Updates". The company did not provide further details on future updates or additional features planned for the series.
