D-Link launches three BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 access points for enterprise with PoE support

D-Link has expanded its enterprise wireless lineup with the new DAP-E3620 family of Wi-Fi 7 access points. The devices are designed to deliver stable, high-speed connectivity in offices, hotels, and other commercial settings where reliable operation of many simultaneous clients is critical.

The series includes three models: the ceiling-mount DAP-E3620, the wall-plate DAP-E3620W, and the outdoor DAP-E3620OU. This variety lets integrators pick a unit suited to specific installation conditions, from open areas to tight indoor spaces. All three access points operate in the BE3600 class, offering aggregate throughput of up to 3.6 Gbps.

To fully unlock Wi-Fi 7 performance, the company recommends pairing the new access points with DMS-1250 switches featuring 2.5G PoE ports. This combination powers the access point over the network cable, eliminating separate power runs, while also removing data bottlenecks. The setup simplifies network deployment and provides enough bandwidth for latency-sensitive applications and high-density usage scenarios.

According to the vendor, the new family targets scalable, centrally managed enterprise networks. All devices in the series support a unified administration system, which eases configuration and monitoring of the infrastructure. D-Link has not yet disclosed pricing or availability dates for the DAP-E3620, DAP-E3620W, and DAP-E3620OU.
