Acer Googlebook 14 leaks in Europe: Core Ultra 5, 2.8K OLED, €1022 price tag

Acer's first laptop for Google's new Googlebook platform has surfaced in European retail ahead of any official announcement. The GP714-91N-50HP model appeared in a store listing with full specifications and a price, though Acer has yet to confirm any details.

The device, known internally as Moonstone in Google's development work, features a 14-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and full DCI-P3 color coverage. The listed configuration is built around an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 256 GB SSD.

Certification records show Acer preparing multiple Googlebook 14 variants, including model numbers GP714-91N-50A0, GP714-91N-58Y2, GP714-91N-596Q, GP714-91N-70CH, and GP714-91N-73U1. Earlier leaks also mentioned a Core Ultra 7 355 version, but that option does not appear in the current listing.

The laptop packs several features tailored to Google's ecosystem. These include a physical Gemini key, a Glow Bar light strip above the display, a camera privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 5.4, and Titan C2 security hardware. The integrated NPU is rated at over 47 TOPS of AI performance, enabling local machine-learning workloads.

The European retailer lists the base version at €1022, down from an original €1125. The product is currently out of stock but open for pre-orders. A possible release date of November 8, 2026, is mentioned in the listing, though Acer has not confirmed it.

Google is expected to bring its first Googlebook devices to market in fall 2026, with Acer among the manufacturers preparing hardware for the platform. The new models are anticipated to shift to Intel's next-generation Panther Lake processors. Acer already sells the Chromebook Plus 714, but the Googlebook 14 stands out due to its upgraded hardware foundation.
