Coleman has introduced its first collapsible cooler, the Snap 'N Go, tackling the biggest issue with traditional ice boxes: storage during the off-season. When folded, the unit takes up just 3 inches of space, yet it can keep ice solid for up to 30 hours and drinks cold for up to 48 hours, making it suitable for weekend trips with a capacity of 30 cans.

The new model comes in two sizes: the smaller 35-quart version starts at $199 in the U.S. and £142 in the U.K., while the larger 55-quart option costs $240 and £189, respectively. For comparison, Yeti coolers are significantly pricier: the flagship Tundra 210-quart runs $995, and the entry-level Roadie 15 starts at $200. Simpler alternatives like the Engel at $89 or the Coleman Classic at $84 are cheaper but take up plenty of space when not in use.

The Snap 'N Go features a removable inner lining that simplifies cleaning. However, the lack of a drain plug means emptying it requires some effort. The main drawback noted by Tom's Guide reviewers is the weight—20 pounds—which makes it less portable than wheeled models. Still, for those prioritizing compact storage, this downside may not matter.
