BenQ launches 4,600-lumen laser projector with dust-proof IP6X rating and 5-second startup

BenQ has announced the LH660, a commercial laser projector designed for large meeting rooms, conference halls, and other spaces where equipment is used regularly under ambient lighting. The model delivers a brightness of 4,600 lumens, enabling clear image visibility without the need to dim the lights.
The LH660 is built around a 0.65-inch DMD chip with DLP technology. Its native resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, and the claimed dynamic contrast ratio reaches 3,000,000:1. Instead of a traditional mercury lamp, the projector uses a laser light source, which, according to BenQ, degrades in brightness more slowly over time — a key advantage for frequent, long-duration use.
The projector powers on in approximately five seconds. The optical module features an IP6X dust-proof rating, preventing dust ingress and reducing its impact on image quality. This is expected to improve reliability during extended operation.
For installation flexibility, the LH660 includes a 1.3x optical zoom, keystone correction of ±40°, and automatic vertical keystone adjustment. A built-in speaker is also included.
In China, the BenQ LH660 is priced at 9,500 yuan.
