Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar surfaces in certifications: first solar-powered watch from Zepp

Zepp Health, the company behind the Amazfit brand, may soon unveil its first smartwatch with solar charging. The model numbered A2570 has cleared certification in several countries, and Malaysia's registry lists it under the marketing name T-Rex Dual Solar.

The device is positioned as an addition to the T-Rex lineup and, judging by its name, will combine a larger battery with a built-in solar panel. That setup could push battery life well beyond current T-Rex models and put it in direct competition with the Garmin fēnix 8 Solar and Instinct 3 Solar.

The first sighting came from Indonesia's Sertifikasi Indonesia database, where A2570 appears as an Amazfit-branded smartwatch made in China. The filing, certificate number 125183/DJID/2026, was submitted by PT Globaltama Sukses Makmur, though no marketing name was included.

South Korea's RRA registry also carries an entry for A2570, certified on August 4, 2026, with both China and Vietnam listed as manufacturing sites. The clearest detail comes from Malaysia's SIRIM registry, which pairs the model number directly with the name "T-REX DUAL SOLAR." Approval was granted on August 3, 2026, under type approval code RDCX/40N/0726/S(26-4227), with Comsat Mobile Communication Sdn Bhd listed as the certificate holder.

An additional record in the Eurasian Economic Union registry suggests Zepp Health is pushing the watch through approvals across multiple regions at once. With certifications cleared in at least four territories and IFA approaching, an official launch in the coming weeks looks increasingly likely.
