Wolverine's new trailer reveals Logan's allies and a September 15 release date

Sony and Insomniac Games have released a new trailer for Marvel's Wolverine during the D23 event, which showcases upcoming Disney projects. The footage offers a glimpse of future missions featuring Logan, with Jean Grey and Team X fighting alongside him against Bolivar Trask, members of the Hand clan, and other villains.
The developers had previously shared the game's premise: antagonists have captured Wolverine's friends from the X-Men team, and Logan must rescue them. Along the way, he will uncover secrets about his own past and come to terms with his true nature. The story will take players across multiple locations, including the island nation of Madripoor, the snowy Canadian wilderness, and the streets of Tokyo.
In terms of gameplay, Marvel's Wolverine remains a third-person action game with cinematic set pieces, a variety of abilities, and combo attacks. Between fights, players will navigate obstacles, perform jumps, and solve straightforward puzzles. There will be no open world in the game. Given the protagonist's brutal fighting style, the title is expected to be one of the most violent games Sony has ever published.
The role of Wolverine is played not by Hugh Jackman, who is familiar to fans, but by Liam J. McIntyre, known for his role in the series "Spartacus". Marvel's Wolverine is set to launch on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5. The new trailer marks the final major promotional push before the game's highly anticipated release, giving players a closer look at the combat, story moments, and the supporting cast that will join Logan on his journey.
