Ukraine’s ZIRKA interceptor drone hits open market at $2,100 — cheapest in its class

The ZIRKA interceptor drone, developed by Ukrainian companies Vyriy and NOCTIS, is now available for purchase on the DOT-Chain Defence and Brave1 Market weapon marketplaces, the Vyriy Industries press service reported.
The unmanned aerial vehicle features automatic target detection and homing systems. It is priced at 77,220 hryvnias, which is roughly $2,100 at the current exchange rate. According to the company, as of August 2026, this is the lowest price on the market for interceptors in this class. Military units can purchase the drone directly with state funds or exchange it for earned eBalls, a digital reward system for defense innovations.
The ZIRKA interceptor is equipped with an onboard computer based on the Raspberry Pi5, running computer vision software. The system analyzes video frames in real time to identify patterns characteristic of Shahed-type drones, including shape, silhouette, and movement patterns of the attack UAV. The system automatically detects targets at a range of up to 1 kilometer. After operator confirmation, it autonomously tracks the target, following every maneuver.
The pilot adjusts the interceptor's closing speed to ensure a more precise hit. The thermal imaging camera is mounted on a servo drive, allowing the ZIRKA to attack enemy drones from both below-upward and above-downward angles.
The ZIRKA interceptor drone was first unveiled in June 2026. It was developed by NOCTIS with investment support and expertise from Vyriy Industries. The drone was designed based on combat experience from the Darknode battalion. Its claimed top speed is approximately 360 kilometers per hour. The interceptor has confirmed kills of Russian drones.
