Total War: WARHAMMER III's biggest DLC ever drops September 24, and it unlocks Immortal Empires without the base game

SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced Total War: WARHAMMER III — Lords of the End Times, launching on September 24. It is the largest DLC in the series' decade-long history, adding four new Legendary Lords inspired by the apocalyptic End Times to the sprawling Immortal Empires campaign, along with a wealth of new battlefield units, lore-driven features, and a transformative free update.
Each Legendary Lord brings a distinct strategic playstyle rooted in Warhammer lore, according to Creative Assembly. Nagash, the Supreme Lord of the Undead, seeks to drain the world of life and ascend to godhood. Boris Todbringer, Elector Count of Middenland, fights to rekindle the flame of Ulric in defense of the Empire. The Glottkin spreads Nurgle's grotesque gardens across the land, while Thanquol schemes through his clever master plans.
Joining the Legendary Lords in battle are some of the most impressive characters and units the series has ever seen. The Khemric Titan is a massive, magically animated scarab-like construct. The Verminlords are formidable daemonic embodiments of the Great Horned Rat. Putrid Blight Kings form a decaying elite brotherhood swarming with daemonflies. The Celestial Hurricanum is a magical war altar infused with the eight winds of magic.
For the first time in the series, purchasing Lords of the End Times content — either as a bundle or individually — grants access to the massive Immortal Empires campaign without needing to own any previous Total War: WARHAMMER title or even the base game itself. This marks a significant shift in how the franchise's content is structured, lowering the barrier for new players to dive into its largest sandbox. The DLC is accompanied by a substantial free update that enhances the experience for all owners of the game.
