ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 with Wildcat Lake hits Europe: 32 GB RAM and 28-hour battery

Lenovo's new 14-inch ThinkPad powered by Wildcat Lake processors has gone on sale in Europe. The E14 Gen 8, launched globally in July, is now available in the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. However, the laptop has yet to appear in North America, including the US and Canada.

Depending on the configuration, the device comes with a Core 3 304, Core 5 320, or Core 7 350 processor. RAM options for DDR5-5600 memory are 8, 16, or 32 GB, but only a single SODIMM slot is available. That means memory runs in single-channel mode, a limitation already noted in reviews of other Lenovo models using this chip.

The chassis measures 313 × 220.3 × 10.1–15.25 mm and weighs from 1.34 kg. Inside, there is one M.2 2242 slot for storage, Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 support, and a 48 or 64 Wh battery. According to Lenovo, the device lasts up to 28.45 hours in JEITA-BAT 3.0 tests and up to 28.48 hours when playing local video at 150 nits brightness.

The base configuration includes a Core 3 304, 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD, a 48 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and a non-touch display. All versions feature a 400-nit IPS screen with a 1920 × 1200 resolution, 45% NTSC color coverage, and an anti-glare finish. An optional touchscreen costs an extra £30 or €30.

Prices in the Eurozone range from €741 to €987, while in the UK they start at £806.59. The model replaces last year's Gen 7, which was priced at $849 on Amazon in July 2025.
