Reshetnev Tests Correction System for New Comms Satellites, Next Up Is Production

Reshetnev, a company within the Roscosmos structure, has completed fire docking tests of a correction system designed for advanced communications satellites. The verification was successful, the enterprise reported.
During the testing, technological samples of the equipment were subjected to conditions simulating engine operation in outer space. Specialists assessed the interaction of key components: correction engines, power and control hardware, and propellant feed units. The results confirmed the operability of all parts, with their characteristics meeting the requirements of technical specifications.
Such tests help identify potential faults before the satellite is launched into orbit. Passing the check ensures the propulsion system will be able to perform necessary maneuvers in real space conditions.
The next step is manufacturing the standard correction system for the new satellites. After that, the equipment will undergo acceptance testing.
