Reanimal gets The Prisoner DLC — a prisoner and a soldier face monsters in a ruined city

The first expansion for the horror-adventure Reanimal is already available to players — The Prisoner was announced at the THQ Nordic Showcase 2026 and released on the same day. The game is slated to receive three expansions in total, and this is only the first one.

Reanimal comes from Tarsier Studios, the team behind the Little Nightmares series. The game itself launched in February 2026 and earned strong reviews from critics and players alike. Now the project, which blends horror with platforming elements, invites players back to its grim world to uncover the story of a character known as the Prisoner, who travels through the ruins of a city destroyed by war.

The Prisoner is designed for two players — in co-op, the Prisoner is joined by a second character named the Soldier. Together, they must overcome difficult trials, solve puzzles, and avoid encounters with the horrible monsters that haunt these locations.

The expansion is available on all current platforms — PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2. No official dates have been given for the next two DLCs, but according to rumors, the second expansion will arrive on October 14, and the third on February 10 of next year.
