Razer sells a $90 artisan keycap shaped like its three-headed snake logo

Razer has introduced an unusual accessory for keyboard enthusiasts: an Artisan keycap shaped like the company's iconic three-headed snake logo. The keycap is cast from synthetic resin and hand-painted, with the manufacturer emphasizing the level of detail and overall quality of the finished product.

The accessory is purely decorative and serves no functional purpose, but it is compatible with any keyboard that uses MX-style switches. That means the keycap is not limited to Razer's own peripherals and can be installed on boards from other manufacturers as well.

Because of the size and density of the snake figurine, RGB backlighting from the keyboard will not shine through the keycap. Razer does not position it as a lighting element anyway, instead recommending the keycap as a visual upgrade for a setup. The company suggests placing it on the F12 key, which is rarely used by gamers, but users are free to choose any other position.

The Razer Artisan will go on sale on August 22 in limited quantities. The price is set at $90, and interested buyers can already submit a request for the keycap ahead of the official launch.
