Razer launches $179.99 Naga V3 Pro mouse with swappable 12-button side panels

Razer has unveiled the wireless Naga V3 Pro mouse, aimed primarily at MMO enthusiasts. The key feature is the set of magnetic side plates that can be swapped without tools, letting users adjust the number of extra buttons to match a specific genre.

For MMO play, the plate offers twelve buttons, while MOBA-focused users get six and shooter fans get two. Depending on the panel installed, the mouse allows 23, 17, or 13 programmable buttons. Onboard memory stores up to five profiles.

The Naga V3 Pro also debuts the Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 with four scroll modes. Standard tactile mode delivers familiar 24-step scrolling with distinct detents, while Precision Tactile mode increases to 48 steps for finer control when switching between abilities, weapons, or inventory items. Free-Spin mode makes long scrolls faster and smoother, and Smart-Reel automatically toggles between tactile and free-spin depending on scroll speed, with adjustment options in Razer Synapse.

The mouse connects via Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4 GHz) for up to 155 hours of battery life, or Bluetooth for up to 280 hours. A wired USB Type-C connection also charges the battery. Razer HyperFlux V2 Charging System and Razer Mouse Dock Pro are supported, though both are sold separately.

Tracking is handled by the third-generation Razer Focus Pro 50K optical sensor with up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS speed, and 90 G acceleration. Frame Sync technology improves tracking stability, and the polling rate is 1000 Hz. The fourth-generation optical-mechanical switches are rated for over 100 million clicks and require 12% less actuation force. The mouse weighs 117 g, excluding the cable and USB dongle.
