RayNeo unveils AR glasses: discreet iO with AI and bulky GT for cinema-grade viewing

RayNeo has announced two new families of AR smart glasses aimed at very different audiences, ranging from subtle everyday wear to bold, feature-packed devices. The RayNeo iO Smart Glasses are designed to look like a standard pair of frames while hiding a small monochrome green display with a 23.5-degree field of view, intelligent voice capture, and a suite of AI features to assist users throughout the day. Weighing just 33 grams, the iO glasses are intended for all-day use, replacing traditional "dumb" eyewear. The display can show a simplified interface and text snippets, such as real-time translations or a teleprompter view of a speech.
On the opposite end of the design spectrum, the new GT-series glasses offer what the company describes as "cinema-grade spatial viewing." These oversized sunglasses feature notably thick arms and are meant for focused activities like watching movies, playing games, or working on a large virtual display. According to RayNeo, both families of frames serve distinct purposes: the iO Smart Glasses are for everyday wear and subtle assistance, while the GT-series are for immersive, dedicated use. The company noted that combining both functionalities into a single pair of smart glasses is not yet possible with current technology, but such a device could emerge in the future. Based on early product images and technical details, the iO Smart Glasses could appeal to users seeking a discreet addition of smart features to their eyewear, while the GT-series targets those who prioritize a dramatic, high-performance visual experience.
