Poco X8 Power leaks: 10,000 mAh battery, IP69 rating, and six years of updates

Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco is preparing a new model in the X8 series — the Poco X8 Power. The device's specifications have been leaked by two insiders, Debayan Roy and Sanju Choudhary, both known for accurate previous leaks.

The standout feature of the smartphone is its massive 10,000 mAh battery. Information about the charging speed is not yet available. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The PWM dimming frequency is set at 3840 Hz, which should eliminate screen flickering in most usage scenarios. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Poco X8 Power will come with an IP69 rating, making it highly resistant to dust and high-pressure water jets. The body thickness is 8.68 mm. The main camera setup includes a 50 MP sensor and an 8 MP sensor, while the front-facing camera has a 32 MP resolution.

The smartphone will receive four major Android OS updates and six years of security patches, ensuring long-term software support. The official launch is expected in the near future.
