Netflix subscribers will see GTA VI six hours early: Rockstar schedules August 27 showcase

Rockstar has scheduled an event dedicated to GTA VI for August 27. The presentation will stream simultaneously on Netflix and YouTube, but viewers on the streaming service will get access six hours earlier than everyone else.
The company has not revealed what will be shown during the event. Since the initial announcement and up to November, the studio has not released a single gameplay episode, so gamers expect a full demonstration of the playable experience.
GTA VI is set to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. A PC version is expected later, though no specific timeframe has been provided. The choice of Netflix as a broadcast partner is unusual for the gaming industry and likely ties into the service's expanding push into the gaming segment.
Rockstar is not offering any additional details about the content of the upcoming show. It remains to wait until late August to see how the studio plans to keep audience interest ahead of one of the most anticipated releases of the decade.
