Memblaze Brings PBlaze7 Enterprise SSDs to FMS 2026, Targets AI Workloads

Chinese enterprise SSD maker Memblaze showcased its PBlaze7 drive family at FMS 2026, positioning the lineup as a building block for AI-focused storage infrastructure. The event, which kicked off on August 4 in Santa Clara, brought together major memory and storage vendors to map out the industry's next steps.

Key discussions revolved around technologies expected to boost bandwidth and cut latency in AI systems, including HBM4 and HBM4e memory, higher-layer 3D NAND stacking, the PCIe 6.0 interface, and optical interconnects. Sessions also covered data management for AI workloads, KV Cache optimization, performance tuning for ultra-large capacity SSDs, and storage software stack improvements.

Memblaze says the PBlaze7 series combines high performance, ultra-low latency, reliability, and high density, making it suitable for next-generation storage platforms built around artificial intelligence. The company is also talking to global customers and partners about deploying its drives in a range of enterprise environments.
