Honor Play 80 launches at $150 with 5300 mAh battery and headphone jack

Honor has unveiled the base Play 80 model for the Chinese market — a budget smartphone that stands out with its large battery and classic 3.5 mm headphone jack. The starting price is 1029 yuan, which is roughly $150.

For that sum, buyers get a configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A version with 6 GB of RAM and the same flash capacity is also available at 1099 yuan. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.

The phone features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The front camera is rated at 5 MP, while the main sensor comes in at 13 MP. A 5300 mAh battery handles endurance, and the handset remains relatively slim at 7.89 mm thick, weighing 186 grams.

Additional highlights include support for TF memory cards and a 3.5 mm audio port for wired headphones. The Honor Play 80 comes in three color options: sky blue, ocean green, and dark black.
