GTA 6 leaker unmasked? Fan traces crypto scheme to exchange with KYC data

A user on the GTA Forums, going by the handle Vice Cit, has published a detailed investigation into the cryptocurrency side of the GTA 6 leaks attributed to the entity CYBERLEEK, outlining how law enforcement could identify the perpetrator through exchange data.

Several videos allegedly showing GTA 6 gameplay, along with a full in-game map, surfaced online this week. Each clip promoted a memecoin named CYBERLEEK and directed viewers to a crypto platform. The leaker even launched a poll to let the community decide which video to release next, but voting required sending the token first.

Vice Cit traced the $CYBERLEEK token back to the KuCoin exchange, registered in the Seychelles. The investigator argues that authorities could obtain a court order compelling KuCoin to disclose transaction details, wallet addresses, and account owner identification. "The cryptocurrency that funded all of this can be traced back to a known exchange that requires KYC verification. This means whoever funded it had to provide customer data disclosure," Vice Cit wrote.

The analysis suggests the leaker is drip-feeding videos to sustain interest in the memecoin. Vice Cit estimates the source invested approximately $29,000 to create the token and the website hosting the leaks, recouping the entire amount on the first day of the campaign. "As of writing this post, they have earned between $40,000 and $60,000," the user noted.
