DapuStor unveils industry-first 512TB SSD for AI workloads with PCIe 5.0

Chinese manufacturer DapuStor has announced a lineup of enterprise solid-state drives aimed at high-load AI systems. The flagship addition is the R6060 series: according to the company, these are the industry's first SSDs with a capacity of 512 TB.
The R6060 drives are built on QLC flash memory and use the PCIe 5.0 interface. Customers will be offered versions in next-generation EDSFF form factors, including E3.L and E2. Such large capacity simplifies storage scaling, cuts power consumption, and lowers the total cost of ownership for systems handling massive datasets.
Beyond the flagship series, DapuStor showcased the R6 model in the E1.S form factor with an 8 TB capacity and liquid cooling. The device relies on TLC chips and connects to a server via PCIe 5.0. The solution targets high-density AI platforms with numerous GPUs, where traditional air cooling fails to handle heat dissipation.
The company also introduced the J5060 series based on QLC chips. These SSDs are designed for multi-tier flash configurations, including SLC. Such an approach combines the high speed and endurance of SLC drives with the large capacity of QLC, offering flexibility for AI workloads that demand both fast data access and substantial storage space.
DapuStor is additionally demonstrating dual-port SSDs from the R6 family in the E3.S form factor. They come in TLC and QLC variants, with capacities reaching 30.72 TB and 61.44 TB, respectively. Dual-port connectivity enhances fault tolerance in enterprise AI systems by providing redundant connection channels.
