Control Resonant goes gold, confirms September 24 release — physical edition delayed to October

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Resonant has gone gold, meaning the main development is complete and the game will launch on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The physical edition, however, has been pushed back to October 15.
The story shifts focus from Jesse Faden to her brother Dylan, a former inmate of the Federal Bureau of Control. The action leaves the Oldest House and moves to the streets of Manhattan, which has been ravaged by paranatural entities that escaped from the FBC headquarters. The city is warped into a surreal landscape where buildings float in the air, tilted at 90 or even 180 degrees, and players can traverse across their rooftops.
The main campaign is estimated to take around 30 hours to complete, while achieving 100% completion across all activities will require about 50 hours. Control Resonant also marks a genre shift from the original third-person shooter to a fast-paced hack-and-slash style reminiscent of the Devil May Cry series.
