Cadillac will hand-build a one-of-one Escalade IQ for you — for an extra $55,000

Cadillac has launched a bespoke customization program for its flagship electric SUV, the Escalade IQ. Called "Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ," the service lets buyers create a one-of-one vehicle from millions of design combinations, but it comes at a premium of $55,000 over the standard price.

Each client is paired with a dedicated design concierge who guides them through the entire selection process. More than 160 exterior colors and finishes are available, ranging from solids and metallics to tri-coats, frosts, and mattes. Inside, buyers can mix up to 44 shades across all three seating rows, the center console, and floor mats.

Every vehicle built under this program will be hand-painted and hand-assembled at the Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan. Each custom model receives a unique VIN and an exclusive serialized builder's badge. According to Cadillac's global vice president, Kristian Equilina, the initiative extends the hand-built CELESTIQ experience to a select number of Escalade IQ clients.

Mechanically, the customized Escalade IQ matches the standard version. It uses a 212 kWh battery pack (205 kWh usable) delivering an estimated range of up to 465 miles. The dual-motor powertrain produces 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max mode, allowing the large SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

Inside, the SUV features a massive 55-inch Horizon display and GM's Super Cruise driver assistance system. The 2028 Escalade IQ will be the first GM vehicle to debut with eyes-off driving on highways. The Escalade IQ measures 224.3 inches in length, 94.1 inches in width, and 76.1 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 136.2 inches — roughly the size of the Chevy Suburban and GMC Yukon. The IQL variant is longer at 228.5 inches, with the same width and wheelbase but a height of 78.5 inches.

The program includes Cadillac's quality materials and warranty coverage, as even ultra-luxury flagship SUVs can face unexpected incidents. Vehicles created under "Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ" are scheduled for the 2027 model year.
