AOC unveils 24.5-inch 360 Hz gaming monitor that undercuts OLED rivals

AOC has introduced its new Q25G11SE6 gaming monitor in China, a 24.5-inch model aimed at players who find 27-inch panels too bulky. The device pairs a high refresh rate with a price point that should appeal to budget-conscious buyers.

The Fast IPS panel delivers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, translating to a pixel density of nearly 120 PPI. Refresh rates go up to 360 Hz, though contrast predictably lags behind mini-LED and OLED displays — the vendor quotes a 1300:1 ratio. Color reproduction is a brighter spot: the panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut, with a ΔE of under 2 in sRGB mode. Peak brightness is rated at 400 nits in HDR and 350 nits in SDR.

Trade-offs include no built-in speakers and limited ergonomics — only tilt is adjustable, so other mounting options require a VESA bracket. Connectivity features DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and HDMI 2.1, the latter capping the refresh rate at 320 Hz. Picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes are supported, along with 0.3 ms MPRT and 1 ms GtG response times and AMD FreeSync.

Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but the spec sheet hints at an affordable positioning. For context, the 27-inch Samsung Odyssey G6 OLED monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate is currently listed at $399 on Amazon, which is likely well above what AOC will charge for the new model.
