61% of Galaxy S26 Ultra owners will demand a replacement over red-tinted display

More than six out of ten Galaxy S26 Ultra owners intend to push for a replacement device over a display defect that causes a reddish tint in the center of the screen. The issue has proven so widespread that Samsung has issued a public response for the first time, even though the company previously stayed silent about a more serious flaw that caused nausea and vision problems in some users.

A poll found that 61% of respondents would ask Samsung to replace the handset if they encountered this defect. Another 31% of participants said they would return the flagship and buy a smartphone from a different manufacturer. Only about 7.5% of those surveyed are willing to tolerate the reddish tint if it is not too noticeable.

Samsung has already begun taking action. Customers in Korea have been advised to visit official Samsung service centers for display recalibration. The company has also announced that a software update is coming soon, which is expected to resolve the issue for users worldwide.

The fact that the defect appears to be software-related offers hope for a quick fix. However, for many Galaxy S26 Ultra owners, the very existence of a flaw in an expensive flagship just a few months after launch has already raised doubts about the device's reliability.

If the upcoming patch fails to resolve the situation, some users are prepared to go further and demand a full refund, as their trust in the smartphone would be undermined. In all other respects, the Galaxy S26 Ultra remains a strong device, and for those who do not have high standards for color accuracy, this shortcoming may prove insignificant.
