Valve receives 22nd Steam Frame shipment as VR headset nears launch

Valve continues to stockpile its new Steam Frame VR headset, though the official release date and price remain undisclosed. According to recent shipping records, the company received another shipment on August 6, containing VR controllers, the headset, and a controller accessory.

The accessory appears to be the comfort kit Valve is preparing for the headset. It will include an ergonomic top strap designed to make the Steam Frame more comfortable during extended gaming sessions.

With the latest delivery, the total number of Steam Frame shipments received by Valve has reached 22. This suggests the company has already built up a substantial inventory ahead of launch. While this does not confirm the device is ready for sale, the recurring shipments serve as another sign that preparations are progressing steadily.

The release may be imminent: the list of games compatible with the Great on Frame platform continues to grow. Additionally, the headset recently received FCC certification, often one of the final steps before a product officially hits the market.
