Ukraine's drone forces hit S-400 near Gelendzhik and tanker in Black Sea

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck multiple targets overnight from August 8 to 9, including an oil tanker and two dry cargo ships from Russia's shadow fleet in the Black Sea, as well as an S-400 air defense position near Gelendzhik, according to commander Robert "Magyar" Brovdi.

The 413th separate regiment "Raid" attacked the tanker, while jointly with the 412th separate brigade "Nemesis" it hit two dry cargo vessels, Brovdi said. He added that the S-400 system near Gelendzhik burned for about three hours, noting that the launcher had fired six missiles on August 8 between 9:25 and 12:51.

Other Russian air defense assets were also destroyed on Russian territory. The first separate center of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Tor air defense system in Pudovoy, Rostov region, a Pantsir-S1 in Yeysk, Krasnodar region, along with Podlet-K1 and Kasta 2E2 radars in Golovatovka and Latonovoye, Rostov region.

The Unmanned Systems Forces reported that a total of 1,605 enemy targets were hit or destroyed within a day. Earlier, it was reported that on August 7 the forces struck three Russian fleet vessels, and between August 1 and 8, 12 ships from the remaining shadow fleet were engaged in the Black and Azov Seas as part of the "MoLoChKa" operation.
