Timex launches Cavatina Luxe with enamel and mother-of-pearl dials starting at $199

Timex has given its most affordable women's watch line a premium makeover with the new Cavatina Luxe collection. The five references range from $199 to $269, a significant jump from the standard Cavatina models that sell for $79 on the brand's own store.

The biggest change is the case material. While existing Cavatina watches use brass cases in 18 mm and 19 mm sizes, the Luxe versions are built from polished stainless steel with a diameter of 22 mm. The curved oval shape remains the same, and Timex covers the case with a domed mineral crystal. The dial is intentionally minimal — only two metallic markers at 12 and 6 o'clock, with nothing else to distract from the material itself.

Three dial options are available across the range. The TW2Y86400 features a mother-of-pearl dial paired with a silver-tone case and a black leather strap, priced at $199. The TW2Y86300 uses a glossy black enamel dial in a gold-tone case on the same leather strap, costing $209. Both straps are sourced through the Leather Working Group, ensuring responsible leather production.

For buyers who prefer a bracelet over a strap, three additional models are offered. The TW2Y86000 keeps mother-of-pearl in a silver-tone case at $219, the TW2Y86200 uses black enamel in a gold-tone case at $229, and the top-of-the-line TW2Y86100 features natural malachite in a gold-tone case at $269. The bracelet uses curved links and can be adjusted without any tools.

Enamel is the standout specification here. Timex describes a high-temperature firing process for the black dial, the same technique used on its $950 Atelier Marine M1a — which has just been restocked. Finding fired enamel at $209 is extremely uncommon at any price point, let alone this one.

The $50 premium on the top reference is explained by the malachite dial. Both malachite and mother-of-pearl are cut from natural stone and shell, which adds to the manufacturing cost and uniqueness of each piece. The Cavatina Luxe collection is now available on Timex's website and through select retailers.
