The Guild: Europa 1410 trailer reveals medieval politics and dynasty-building mechanics

THQ Nordic and studio Ashborne Games have released an overview gameplay trailer for the historical RPG-strategy The Guild: Europa 1410. The project promises to immerse players in the realistic life of 15th-century Europe, with an emphasis on authenticity and deep game systems.

At the start of a playthrough, players choose a city where their family will settle: available locations include Wroclaw, Kutná Hora, Nuremberg, Graz, and other major metropolises of the era. Next comes the choice of the dynasty's trade — commerce, blacksmithing, pottery, or running taverns. From there, the path to wealth begins: bribing officials, orchestrating criminal schemes, currying favor with the church, or engaging in charity.

However, fortune alone does not guarantee power. To influence the city council and rise to the highest ranks of the kingdom, players must master political intrigue: leveraging popular support, bribes, and blackmail. The developers emphasize that every decision can prove fateful for the dynasty — success depends on negotiation skills, plotting against rivals, and forging dynastic alliances.

The Guild: Europa 1410 launches in Steam Early Access in September, with the exact date yet to be announced. The project is being developed by Ashborne Games, known for the tactical title Last Train Home about Czechoslovak soldiers returning from Siberia after World War I.
