Tenet Plus to bring REEV hybrid to Russia in 2027 as it targets 5.5% market share

Russian automotive brand Tenet Plus, jointly created by local holding AGR and China's Defetoo, has outlined its expansion strategy for the domestic market. At an August 12 presentation of its L4 and L6 crossovers in Moscow, chief operating officer Dmitry Maksimov said the company aims to secure at least 5.5% of the Russian market by the end of 2027.
As part of that push, the lineup will gain a model with a series hybrid powertrain of the REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) type in 2027, promising an extended driving range. In such a setup, the wheels are driven exclusively by an electric motor, while a gasoline engine serves solely as a generator to recharge the traction battery. The company has yet to disclose specifications or an exact launch window for the new model, saying only that further details will be announced at a later date.
Separately, Tenet Plus is scaling up its dealer network. By 2026, its vehicles are expected to be available through more than 120 dealer partners, covering all 16 Russian cities with a population of over one million as well as other major urban centers. The brand highlights a high standard of customer service and accessibility across various regions of the country as its key priorities. Tenet Plus was introduced to the Russian market as a joint venture between AGR and Defetoo, with the first models presented in Moscow this month.
